How does God know that He can trust you with that great thing that you have been seeking Him for? You say in your heart, 'Lord I'm ready for it. I have prepared, I've studied, I've positioned myself around all the right people, and it's time for me to walk in the great purpose that You have created me for.' All that is good, but how do you handle trouble?
You are proven by the way you operate when trouble comes. In the book of Job, God allowed him to go through great trouble and pain. Not because he had sinned, for the Lord Himself bragged about how righteous Job was, but because He wanted even more for Job and for Job to know Him in a greater way. Through all that Job went through, he did not sin and more importantly he did not blame or get angry with God! In the end Job had a more intimate relationship with the Father and God restored him to double his former prosperity. Wow!
So I say to you, take a look at the way you handle trouble. If God can trust you to still praise Him, to still worship Him, and to love Him even more while in the midst of your trouble, He will know that you won't forget Him when your breakthrough comes and that you will honor Him with all that He blesses you with. And in the words of Bishop Eddie L. Long, 'When you find yourself in hell, don't walk, RUN!!!! Learn whatever lesson you need to learn and get out of there quickly.'
Luke 16:10 He who is faithful in the least, is also faithful in much; and he who in the least is unrighteous, is also unrighteous in much.
